  • Report: Acting Locally for a Society for All

    This is the Report of the European Day of People with Disabilities 2008. It includes summaries of the speeches and discussions at the two-day conferece held in Brussels on 1st and 2nd in December 2008. In this wide-ranging conference, Mr. Ivor Ambrose, Managing Director ENAT, gave a presentation about Accessible Tourism in the third session (Day 2).

  • Setting a Research Agenda for Accessible Tourism

    On 12 July 2005, a Sustainable Tourism Cooperative Research Centre Research workshop was held at the New South Wales Department of State and Regional Development, titled Setting a Research Agenda for Disability and Tourism. This report outlines the background to disability and tourism in both the Australian and overseas settings, and details the process used for the workshop, which has led, in turn, to the prioritised research agenda that forms an integral part of this report.

  • Europe Senior Tourism

    The Spanish government would like to make it as easy as possible for seniors from other EU countries to enjoy their free time, which is why it is proposing active holidays during the winter in Spain, by organizing a full trip for which it will pay a portion of the expense. This project aims to present good value for visitors, strengthen European citizenship and help the tourism industry through the difficult economic period.

  • ATHENA Project: “Accessible Tourism – Humans, Education, New Approaches"

    The main goal of the ATHENA project is the creation of conditions and tools for human resources development and employment in the accessible tourism sector in the Czech Republic. This will be achieved by transnational cooperation with ENAT and exchange of experience and good practice with European countries.

  • CETA - Competitiveness for European Tourism for All

    The 18-month CETA Project has been established by ENAT and its partners in the framework of the European Union's programme "...to support initiatives of public and private bodies, or their existing networks, to contribute to enhancing the sustainability and competitiveness of European Tourism especially for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, while allowing for wider economic, social and environmental benefits to be gained.” (European Commission, DG Enterprise and Industry, Tourism Unit, 2008).
