"Access Sweden" - the new national network for accessible tourism in Sweden, together with national and international partners, organised this international seminar on Accessible Tourism with emphasis on the fastest growing market in Europe: Older tourists and others who need better accessibility.
The primary objective of the seminar was to raise the awareness about the impact of and the business opportunities of the forthcoming process of demographic ageing that will simultaneously lead to a growing share of tourists with needs for more accessibility and higher service quality.
The event was opened by Ms. Marie Linde of the West Sweden Tourist Board. Other speakers included Mr. Andrew Daines, eBusiness Partnerships Manager at VisitBritain; Mr. Ivor Ambrose, Coordinator of the European Network for Accessible Tourism, and leader of the OSSATE-project;and representatives from Access Sweden.
