06/07/2016 | 1 comments

VisitEngland Red Rose logoHot on the heels of their Access for All project, co-funded by the European Commission, VisitEngland has launched a new guide.

The invaluable guide will help destination managers in England tap into the accessible tourism market, worth £12bn.
Divided into four main sections, the online guide helps busy destination managers create a destination that meets the needs of older and disabled visitors.

  • Introduction
  • Starting out
  • Engaging your local businesses
  • Working in partnership to develop an accessible public space
  • Promoting your destination
  • Further information sources
  • Your action plan
  • Appendix

The guide busts common myths, uncovers best practice and puts forward both quick wins and longer term actions.
This publication adds to the wealth of free accessibility resources available to destinations and tourism businesses from VisitEngland.
