The Tourist Club of the Association of Paraplegic and Quadriplegic “Dunav” and partners are pleased to invite you to this event, focussing on tourist destinations and accommodation capacities towards all possible customers with emphases on rural areas, with the intention to increase profit and improve general sustainability of tourist product.

Organisers

The conference is organised by the Tourist Club of Association of Paraplegic and Quadriplegic “Dunav”, Belgrade in cooperation with Ministry of Economy and Regional Development, Tourist Organization of Serbia, Tourist Organization of Belgrade, Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, Hotel Hyatt Regency and University Singidunum.

Association “Dunav” is a certified member of the European Network for Accessible Tourism (ENAT) and we are proud to organize the conference for the third time in Serbia to discuss the matters of accessible tourism.

The goal of the conference is a closer view of tourist destinations and accommodation capacities towards all possible customers with emphasis on rural areas with the intention to increase profit and improve general sustainability of tourist product.

As one of the major events in the region in 2011, the Conference on Accessible Tourism wants to gather people in the field of tourism, including ministries, tourist associations, airline companies, representatives of the railway, bus and ship transport companies, tourist agencies, especially those dealing with some of the aspects of health tourism, media, business people who are interested in investing in this area, teachers and professionals who deal with this topic and, of course, representatives of organizations of persons with disabilities.

The Conference will be opened by State Secretary in the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development, Mr.Goran Petkovic.

Programme

Papers on the following themes are invited.

Please submit papers to e-mail: tkdunav[at]gmail[dot]com until May 15, 2011.

  • Legislation as condition for development of accessible tourism in EU countries, regional countries and Serbia;
  • Rural tourism – sustainability and accessibility;
  • Mountain tourism and accessibility to persons with disability;
  • Health, spa, wellness tourism and accessibility;
  • Sport and recreational tourism and accessibility;
  • Good practice examples;
  • Breaking of architectural and psychological barriers as condition to sustainable accessible tourism;
  • IT technology, 3-D technology, information and its contribution to development of accessible tourism.

Authors will be informed about acceptance of the presentations by May 20, 2011.
