Turismabile Launches Accessible Tourism Package in Piemonte, Italy

After three years of work, thanks to the interest of an Italian incoming tour operator, the first accessible travel package has been created: a range of proposals to visit and use the better Piedmont touristic offer with all services and the guarantee of welcome quality to satisfy the particular necessities of each tourist.

The offers cater for people with motor or sensory disabilities and also those who are  older, overweight or people with food intolerances.

The new product joints the Turismabile experience in identification and promotion of tourist services for people with special needs or difficulty and the knowledge of market and demand of a tour operator specialized in Italy destinations.

Quality Mark Agreement

At the Berlin International Tourism fair (BIT) this month, Turismabile also presented an agreement it has made in collaboration with ISNART – the National Institute of Tourism Research, that provides the National Observatory on Tourism and values the welcome quality of receptive structures and tourism sector for conferring the Welcome Italian Quality mark. The collaboration will take its first step with the insertion of accessibility into the ISNART quality parameters.

New Website Features

Among other news, Turismabile has also presented the new website  where it is publishing the confidential catalogue of accessible structures and activities: excursions, tourist guides, hotels, sport activities, receptive, artistic, cultural structures, restaurants and transports insert in a useful instrument to tour operator work that want to construct packages in Piedmont Region, thanks to the publication of confidential rates (rack rates). The website will be an instrument also for everybody wants to know the Piedmont tourism offer, the appointments, news, the itineraries to create a holiday offer for all.

In May, Turismabile and Distretto Laghi will organize a workshop in Verbania zone to permit Italian and foreign tour operators to meet the accessible offer in one of the fascinating and welcoming zone of the Piedmont.
