If you are affected by an allergy, you can be certain when flying with SWISS that all efforts have been made to combat the presence of allergens in consideration of your wellbeing.

As the first airline in the world to hold the ECARF seal of quality, SWISS is committed to minimising the presence of allergens within its cabin and lounge environment, particularly in upholstery materials, air conditioning or certain food items. Our high-efficiency air conditioning system, for example, filters out pollens from outdoors and animal hair from pets on board. We also make sure no air freshening substances with the potential to irritate the respiratory tract are released on board, and our lavatories are equipped with hypoallergenic soap for sensitive skin.

If you are travelling on a long-haul flight or in SWISS Business on a European flight, you may book a special meal which suits your needs. In addition, our galleys are stocked with various lactose-free and gluten-free products as well as alternative snacks on our flights in SWISS Economy in Europe. For your further peace of mind, SWISS cabin crew members are trained to respond to an allergic emergency, and histamine tablets are available if needed.
