The ELEVATOR project partnership is holding a Workshop addressing “Training in accessible tourism and development of accessible destinations”.

Invited participants will include key stakeholders and actors in the Slovenian tourism sector.

Venue: City Hotel, Ljubljana

Time:  10.00 - 12.30       

Workshop Agenda

  1. Welcome, Opening of the Workshop, round table introductions (10 min)
  2. Presentation of ELEVATOR project Partners (5 min/partner= 20 min)
  3. Presentation of the ELEVATOR project: Short presentation of summaries of all 3 intellectual outputs. (10 min).
  4. Introduction to discussion: What do we think is necessary for development of accessible products and services, also what is missing. Is there any training provided for staff in accessibility, does the tourism sector find it  important/useful; does the sector see accessible tourism as an opportunity; is accessible tourism opportunity for social entrepreneurship or social innovation?
  5. Round-table presentations and discussions, with representatives of business, policy makers, associations & university students
  6. Conclusions: Kazuist and PREMIKI.

Results of the workshop will be used to develop new European training programmes and Open Educational Resources on accessible tourism, to be published in 2018.
