Ferrara, 27 August 2013. On the 19th of August, at the stand of the Republic of San Marino at the Rimini Meeting, the agreement was presented between the Republic of San Marino and Village for all - V4A® that will bring the “Republic of Titan” into the market of Accessible Tourism.

The speakers were the Secretary for Tourism of San Marino’ State, The Honourable Teodoro Lonfernini, the Director of Tourism Office of San Marino’ State, Dr. Gloria Licini, the President of the San Marino’ Paralympic Commitee, Daniela Del Din, the President of Village for all - V4A®, Roberto Vitali, the President of Consorzio San Marino 2000, Stefano Raggi, the Director of Consorzio San Marino 2000 and Project Manager, Mahena Abbati.

The project, that will have a multi-annual programme, presented its first results including the EDEN Destinations 2013 award of the European Commission.

The Honourable Lonfernini pointed out that: "Accessible tourism constitutes one of the central points of Strategic Development of the Tourism Sector's Plan of San Marino State; through this particular type of tourism will facilitate access to different tourist experiences for all the people, in the knowledge that making tourism more accessible is first and foremost a social responsibility".

Do not forget that San Marino was in 2006 one of the first 10 signatories to the UN Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities and that in the recent past has had among its Regent Captain Mirko Tomassoni, (paired with Alberto Selva from 1st October 2007 to 1st April 2008, the period of responsibility is six months). He is the first ever Regent Captain of San Marino who is disabled.

Roberto Vitali, V4A®’President, declared:  "This agreement fills us with pride and you will see all my efforts and of my staff to bring San Marino to make the quantum leap that will make it, in a few years, a global benchmark for accessible tourism. San Marino is the first Republic who chooses to invest in Hospitality for all with V4A® and it has at its side all the businesses and entrepreneurs of the tourism world, without whom this venture would not be possible. Thanks to the efforts of Consorzio San Marino 2000, of his President Stefano Raggi, and especially of his Director Mahena Abbati who strongly believed in the project San Marino per Tutti".
