AccessibleEU: Accessibility and Higher Education

This event, organised by AccessibleEU in collaboration with the University of Porto, aims to draw a European roadmap for higher education, meeting current accessibility standards and anticipating the needs and aspirations of the future.

Date and Time:
Wednesday, 30th October, 2024, from 09:00 to 17:30 (WET). 

Where?
Faculdade de Psicologia e de Ciências da Educação de Universidade do Porto, R. Alfredo Allen, 4200-135 Porto, Portugal.

How to participate?
Free onsite and online participation from 9:00 to 14:15 hours;
Onsite only from 15:30 to 17:30 hours.

Accessibility: Accessible venue. Captioning in English and International Sign System (ISS).

Language: English.

Conference Objectives

The main objectives are:

  • Discuss the standards and indicators that should be considered to ensure inclusive Higher Education institutions.
  • Enhance the analysis of the remaining challenges in the area of curricular adaptations.
  • Fostering transnational collaboration and sharing practical initiatives

Special attention will be focused on the interests of the different stakeholders in Higher Education, including:

  • Teachers
  • Students
  • Administrators
  • Research staff
  • Inclusion Service offices
  • Policy and strategic decision makers
  • Librarians.
