Liverpool, UK. 26 November 2012. Liverpool John Moores University, Tourism and Leisure Management will be hosting a lecture on the issues of access in tourism with guest speaker Chris Veitch an independent consultant with wide experience in the field of accessible tourism.

Liverpool John Moores University, Tourism and Leisure Management will be hosting a lecture on the issues of access in tourism with guest speaker Chris Veitch an independent consultant with wide experience in the field of accessible tourism.

After Chris gained a First Class degree in Tourism Management at London South Bank University, he was a Policy Executive in the English Tourism Council (ETC) managing projects to improve the accessibility of tourism in England.

Chris VeitchIn 2003 Chris set up his own practice and he has been involved in significant European projects such as One Stop Shop for Accessible Tourism in Europe (OSSATE) and European Network for Accessible Tourism (ENAT), helping to improve accessible information for consumers as well as producing online training and business support toolkits with a number of regions in England encouraging tourism businesses to improve their accessibility.

He has worked closely with Visit England to develop an online 'Access Statement' tool and guidance on accessible information website content for Destination Management Organisations.
