Hearing at the European Parliament on Accessible Tourism

Brussels, Belgium 9 February 2012. The Group of the European People's Party (Christian Democrats) in the European Parliament is organising this Hearing, with the participation of Members of the European Parliament, the European Commission and several tourism enterprises.

The Group of the European People's Party (Christian Democrats) in the European Parliament is organising this Public Hearing, on Tourism for all, a challenge to win, with the participation of Members of the European Parliament, the European Commission and several tourism enterprises.   

Presentations and discussions will address accessibility of destinations, accommodation and information within the EU's new tourism strategy.

The hearing will be chaired by Ádám Kósa MEP and Rosa Estaràs Ferragut MEP. Mathieu Grosch MEP and Carlo Fidanza MEP and will also speak at the event.

Other speakers include representatives of the European Commission, The Italian National Agency for Tourism, the Balearic Islands Government, INSULEUR Chambers of Commerce network, ENAT - the European Network for Accessible Tourism, Village for All, Italy and Handisport Foundation, Spain.

The event takes place from 09:00 to 12:30 followed by cocktail lunch.
