The project's  objective is to create accessible destinations for target groups of persons with disabilities (motor, visual, auditory and intellectual), in the main territorial localities of the Catalan destinations of the north (Costa Brava, Girona coast, Pirineus, Terres de Lleida, Eastern Pyrenees).

We would emphasize the innovative character of the project that is based on two singular actions that consist on the one hand, of acting on the tourist destination as a whole not only in the accessibility to the tourist establishments, which implies connecting components and dimensions that define a destination (information, mobility and transport, urbanism, basic tourist product, lodging, complementary supply, marketing and commercialization). On the other hand, the project addresses four modalities of incapacity (motor, visual, auditory and intellectual), which breaks with a narrow vision of Accessible Tourism.

The anticipated results of the project Accessi Tourisme are a proposal of a European label of accessible tourism, conceived from the experience of the Catalan destinations as a research laboratory,  tranferring this experience to Catalonia, France, Spain and other places of Europe. The label will characterise destinations in terms of their accessible and practicable products, services and tourist establishments for the groups of disabled.
