AccessibleEU Greece - Designing Accessible Events

AccessibleEU, The European Network for Accessible Tourism (ENAT) and the National Confederation of Disabled People of Greece (NCDP) co-organise a workshop in Athens to raise awareness of the importance of accessibility for persons with disabilities and those with other specific access requirements, when organising events.

Target audience: Public authorities, municipalities and prefectures, private sector enterprises, civil society organisations (including organisations of persons with disabilities), professional associations.

When: Monday, November 20, 2023 from 14.30 to 18:30 (EET)

Where: Hotel Titania: 52 Panepistimiou Avenue, 106 78 Athens, Greece

Format: Hybrid (participate either by internet connection or in presence at the venue)

Language: Greek

Accessibility information: Captioning and sign language interpretation in Greek.

About the event

The aim of this workshop is to inform both public and private sector actors on how to design and organise events accessible for All, in order to enhance the experience of everyone attending and attract a wider audience.

Accessible events enable everyone to participate on equal terms, ensuring their full involvement in cultural and social activities, tourism and leisure, education and every other aspect of society.

Examples of good practice in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will be presented by public and private sector actors, covering all kinds of events including meetings and conferences, exhibitions, cultural events, performances and sports events.

The target audiences of the event are public authorities, private enterprises and foundations organising events, cultural bodies and organisations of persons with disabilities and other user groups.
