The guidelines offer strategic and actionable recommendations to provide accessible tourism experiences, meeting the specific access requirements of all customers.

Tour operators, travel agencies and travel agents play a pivotal role in helping customers choose arrangements that best suit their specific access requirements.

These companies and professionals can use the international guidance tool ISO 21902:2022 to implement accessibility criteria, either if they operate from within a physical space, online, or, through both channels.

Accessibility training, criteria and standards are essential to understand what each client needs, to collect and convey crucial information, and to foresee complementary services for customers to meet their access requirements.

UN Tourism, ONCE Foundation and UNE, in collaboration with European Network for Accessible Tourism (ENAT), Sage Travelling and Impulsa Igualdad, have released a set of recommendations for tour operators, travel agencies and travel agents to implement ISO Standard 21902:2021.
