Accessible beaches awarded in 2015. After 10 years of dynamism, adherence to the programme "Accessible Beach - Beach for All" 204 bathing areas were classified as "accessible" in the 2015 bathing season, welcoming all to the Portuguese beaches. This number - with regard to 35 inland bathing areas and 169 coastal (25 of the latter, in the autonomous regions of the Azores and Madeira) - an increase of approximately 5% in the number of prizes awarded, compared to 2014. The list of award-winning beaches in this bathing season can be found and downloaded at the website. The information is presented organized by municipalities, grouped according to river basin districts, as regards mainland (North, Central, and West Tejo, Alentejo and Algarve), and second autonomous region and respective islands in the case of Madeira and the Azores.
