Hr. Ruediger Leidner, ENAT Board Member, representative of the German Association of the Blind and President of Natko, gives a personal account of a recent trip he and his wife made to one of South Africa's wildlife parks.

The experience showed that, while the local guides and tour operators were willing and able to cater appropriately for a blind person, the behaviour of German travel organisers left much to be desired.
