21/04/2010 Development of Tourism for All: International Congress in Alba, Italy

11 and 12 June, Alba, Piemonte, Italy. A two-day international congress fully dedicated to accessible tourism and its perspectives for the future will examine “Development of Tourism for All – Promotional Strategies and Good Practices in the Offer” at the Congress hall of the Ferrero Foundation.

20/04/2010 Third EU Calypso Meeting Facilitating Exchanges in Cross-Border Social Tourism

Baile Felix, Romania, 6 and 7 May 2010. The third EU Calypso Meeting Facilitating Exchanges addresses the theme, "Stakeholders Proposals to Facilitate Exchanges through Calypso". The venue is a centre for spa and wellness tourism in the Romanian countryside.

Madrid 14 - 15 April 2010. The European Commission, in close collaboration with the Spanish Presidency of the Council, is organising the European Tourism Stakeholders Conference in Madrid, Spain.  

26/03/2010 17th European Congress. European Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine

Venice, Italy. 23 to 27 May 2010. The Congress programme will cover a wide range of topics in rehabilitation technology, clinical sciences, Physical Rehabilitation Medicine and evidence based rehabilitation and management. A Round Table session on "Disability and Mobility: Inclusive Tourism" will take place on Thursday 27 May.

17/02/2010 Workshop with European Stakeholders. The Calypso Study: Preliminary Findings and the Way Forward

24 March 2010, Brussels. The European Commission is hosting a Social Tourism stakeholders' workshop as a general consultation exercise more or less mid-way through the Calypso Study.  

17/02/2010 Facilitating Exchanges through Calypso: The Way Forward from the Supply Side Perspective

2-3 March 2010, Rome. This meeting, organised by the European Commission and the Italian authorities, will focus on the tourism supply side, such as accommodation establishments (hotels, hostels, spas etc), travel agents and tour operators.

Brussels, 13 January 2010. The Accessibility Guide for Companies analyzes and presents criteria regarding the accessibility of spaces, routes, elements, furniture, products and services in our surroundings. The Guide will be presented for Members of the European Parliament by its author, Architect Enrique Rovira‐Beleta.
