Welcome to the Website of ENAT - the European Network for Accessible Tourism.

ENAT is a non-profit association for organisations that aim to be 'frontrunners' in the study, promotion and practice of accessible tourism. You may be an expert or new to the area - in either case you are welcome!

By leveraging the knowledge and experience of the network, our members are improving the accessibility of tourist information, transport, infrastructure, design and service for visitors with all kinds of access needs, providing models of excellence in accessible tourism for the whole of the tourism industry.

Are you an "Accessible Tourism Champion" in this time of COVID?

3 January 2021. The UN World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) and partners (Fundacion ONCE and ENAT), are asking administrations, destinations and companies, which have successfully incorporated accessibility in their COVID-19 mitigation measures, to share their stories through the questionnaire “Accessible Tourism Champions”.

Answer the UNWTO survey and share your story about combatting COVID while ensuring accessibility.

UNWTO and partners, will recognise the most outstanding and inspiring tourism providers by publishing their stories.

Launched on World Tourism Day, 27th September 2021, the Accessibility Accreditation Module forms part of Australia’s national Quality Tourism Framework.

19 August 2021. Multiple leading international organisations have united to launch WeThe15, which aspires to be the biggest ever human rights movement to represent the world’s 1.2 billion persons with disabilities.

16/07/2021 Publication Of First International Standard On Accessible Tourism for All, Led by UNWTO, Fundación ONCE and UNE

Press Release, 15 July 2021, Madrid. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has published the world’s first standard on accessible tourism, ISO 21902 Tourism and related services – Accessible tourism for all – Requirements and recommendations. This is an international standard offering guidelines to ensure access and enjoyment of tourism for all on an equal basis.
