On the occasion of the International Day of People with Disabilities, Greek Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis and state officials visited the offices of the NGO "Disability Now" (Anapiria Tora), and announced measures that would facilitate their everyday life, including a new disability card. This week the Marina d'Or beachside holiday resort in the Region of Valencia, Spain welcomes some 200 delegates at the ENAT International Congress on Tourism for All, organised by Fundación ONCE and supported by the European Commission. A Communication on an "Agenda for a sustainable and competitive European tourism" was adopted by the European Commission on 19 October 2007. It does not address 'accessible tourism'. However, as a framework for future tourism policies, it advocates "a holistic, integrated approach...involving all stakeholders".
