29 August 2012. On the day of the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Paralympic Games, VisitEngland has launched “Winning More Visitors” – a new online guide designed to help destinations attract more visitors with access needs by providing access information on their websites.
A new guidance document published by the BBPA provides an essential guide on how to make British pubs as accessible as possible. The guide has been given a warm welcome and a call to action from legendary Paralympian, Dame Tanni Grey Thompson, who has written the foreward.
Managers and team members have their own route to follow through the course. Destination London takes you on a journey. You will hear from disabled visitors as well as being able to create an action plan.
27 March 2012 was the Networking Day for Spanish "Business Innovation Groups in Tourism" (AEITs), where the focus was on accessibility, mobility and sustainability as axes for transforming the Spanish tourism sector.
