Brussels, 14 December 2009. The association AMT Concept will present the guide “Sport & Handicaps” in the presence of Evelyne Huytebroeck, Ministry of Brussels for the Assistance of Persons with Disabilities.

The main aim of this work is to show the level of accessibility of the sporting infrastructures of the Area of Brussels-Capital to the people with reduced mobilities (PMR).

The practice of sport is beneficial both for health and personal development… For a person who is disabled, sport constitutes a formidable means of expressing one’s capacities instead of exposing one’s limits!

This is why ASBL AMT Concept (Access and Mobility for All) launched the challenge to produce a guide “sport for all”. The main aim of this work is to show the level of accessibility of the sporting infrastructures of the Area of Brussels-Capital to the people with reduced mobilities (PMR).

The information, which is presented on a CD-ROM is intended to supplement the “Sports’ Guide” and Internet site of the French Community Commission (CoCof) so that it reaches as large an audience as possible.

Note: the Guide is in French and the event will be held in the French language.
