3 December 2008, Turin. The CPD – Consults for People in Difficulty - is pleased to invite you to this International Conference in celebration of the International Day for Disabled People 2008. The conference will examine the concepts of accessibility and tourism: designing and creating hospitable structures, giving information to tour operators for promoting accessible services, disseminating welcoming policies and European projects, fulfilling the needs of all tourists, including disabled people.

The conference will examine the concepts of accessibility and tourism: designing and creating hospitable structures, giving information to tour operators for promoting accessible services, disseminating welcoming policies and European projects, fulfilling the needs of all tourists, including disabled people.

The one-day event (held in Italian and Englsh) will take place at the Centro Congressi Lingotto, via Nizza 280 – London conference room.

The morning session includes interventions by Mrs. Michela Vittoria Brambilla, Deputy Secretary of State, Mr. Daniel Winteler, Federturismo Tour Operators Association President and representatives of the Bureau International du Tourisme Social, European Network for Accessible Tourism and European Disability Forum.

In the afternoon, thematic sessions will address:

  • Accessibility and Design
  • Making the work easier for Tour Operators – Services for an accessible Tourism
  • Exchange of experiences on Accessible Tourism
