The Inaugural General Meeting of ENAT marked the launch of a long-awaited European organisation for accessible tourism.

The Inaugural General Meeting of ENAT marked the launch of a long-awaited members’ organisation for businesses, organisations and individuals who wish to support and learn more about accessible tourism in Europe.

The event attracted 100 delegates from 14 countries, representing the travel and tourism sector, public authorities and NGOs, and including some of Europe’s leading travel marketing organisations, destination managers and access specialists. The meeting celebrated the launch of ENAT and, through three Workshop sessions, delegates helped to set priorities for the promotion of accessible tourism in Europe during the coming years.

The event was organised by the ENAT sponsors. The European Commission gave financial support to the event, while the Government of Flanders kindly provided the venue.
