European Forum for Social Tourism, Riva del Garda, Trento, Italy
This event addresses the right to tourism for all in Europe. Around 40% of European citizens do not go on holiday, mainly for economic reasons.
The European Forum on Social Tourism, organised by the International Bureau of Social Tourism (BITS) in collaboration with the Trentino Federation of Co-operatives, aims at organising a discussion between representatives of social tourism, European institutions and trade-unions on the challenges and possible solutions to promote holiday access for the great majority of people and to present, on the basis of existing best practices, the real contribution of social tourism to Europe’s economic and social development.
In this context, all the stakeholders of social, sustainable and fair tourism are invited to join us in Riva del Garda to discuss the challenges of a social policy on tourism in Europe.
